Add Students to a Class

Once you have created your Class Folder, it's time to invite some students! Students must have Goodnotes app setup on their devices.

  • Inside your Class Folder, tap on the Students tab to see the students menu for this Class Folder.
  • Tap on the blue Invite Students button to see the different options for adding students to your class.

Invite Students from the list

You can add Students from your institutions existing Student list if they already have a Goodnotes Account associated with your school through the Goodnotes Admin Console. Contact your Admin if you do not see any Students here. 

  • Tap on Add Students

  • Selected the students you wish to add to the class

  • Then press Confirm Changes to add them too the class

Invite students using a QR code or Link

If your students do not appear in the Student list, you can still add them through creating a QR code and link for them to scan.

  • In the Share menu, toggle on the QR code and link feature.

  • Then either tap Copy Link or the QR code symbol to generate the share code, then share this with your students to add them to the class.

Note: Students need to first be logged into the app before they can be added to a Class folder. Please ensure that they are logged in ahead of time.
