Quick Lesson lets Teachers share a Lesson with Students using a QR code or link, without needing to be in the same Organization. A Quick Lesson works just like a normal Lesson, except for the Role and Organization checks, and includes the ability to:
- Annotate on the teacher and every student layer
- View and annotate on an individual student layer
- View and mark the answer of all students in an answer zone
- Use Follow-me
- Hide and show pages
- Generate hints for students
- Export student work to PDF
Please note: Quick Lesson is available on iOS only. Both Teachers and Students need a Goodnotes Account to use Quick Lesson.
Creating a Quick Lesson
You can convert any existing document into a Quick Lesson. This duplicates your original Notebook, leaving it untouched if you need it again.
From your library
- Long-press the document or use the down arrow next to its name.
- Select Convert to Quick Lesson from the actions menu.
- Confirm when prompted. This creates your new Quick Lesson and opens it in a new tab.
From inside a document
- Open the document you want to use.
- Select the Share menu
- Select Convert to Quick Lesson.
- Confirm when prompted. A new lesson document is created with the same content.
Sharing a Quick Lesson with Students
Once your Quick Lesson is created, you can share it with Students using a QR code or a link.
- Open the Quick Lesson document.
- Select the Share menu
- Select Generate QR Code to display a scannable code, or Copy Link to share a join link directly.
- Students scan the QR code or open the link to join the lesson. They will then appear in the Student list.
Where can I find my Quick Lesson if I need it again?
Once created, a Quick Lesson is stored in your Documents at the highest Folder level. You can also find it in your Shared Tab.
You can move your Quick Lesson into other Folders or duplicate it to a Class Folder. To learn more about how to do this, please see the section on performing actions in Navigating around Goodnotes.
