This article covers Goodnotes Education Plan features only. Free Tier users may not have access to these functionalities. To upgrade, contact your institution's IT administrator.
If you previously used Goodnotes Classroom and are now using the Education Plan in Goodnotes, you may have found that your Teachers are being asked by the app for an access code. There is an easy way to resolve this.
Disable Auto Capture
Auto Capture was a previous way that you could provision the app to any user who logs in from a verified domain using a Teacher or Student Code. As this is now deprecated, you can turn this off for your Organization in the Admin Console.
- Launch the Goodnotes Admin Console
- Head to Identity and Provisioning in the Sidebar
- Click on the 3 dots under Action in your chosen Domain row.
- Toggle Auto-Capture off and input the Domain to confirm.
As this verification method is now deprecated, you will no longer be able to turn this feature back on, though you may see it in your Admin Console indefinitely.
