If you are receiving the following error message when you create a Lesson in a Class Folder, there should be an easy fix without needing to get your IT Admin involved!
Error message: "Error occured moving document to Class Folder"
Why does this issue occur?
This error usually indicates that although you can create a Lesson, it is struggling to move this Lesson into your synced Class Folder and share it with your Students. This is likely because the credentials necessary to write to that shared space are missing, meaning you are not logged in properly. You will notice that when this happens, the Lesson does actually get created, it just gets put into your My Documents tab.
This can often happen on shared devices as the previous user's syncing credentials confuse Goodnotes Cloud.
How can I resolve this?
You can resolve this without the help of your IT Admin! All you need to do is:
- Delete the app
- Head to the App Store and download Goodnotes again
- Sign in with your school account
- Try and create the Lesson again!
I am still having problems!
